In Resident Evil: Outbreak, the next installment in the Resident Evil series, you play as both Umbrella soldier and Dr. Isaac’s aide. As the game’s hero, you’re tasked to save the world from a horde of zombies and monsters in the search for your father. You’re armed with a fully automatic gun, a machine gun, a shotgun, knives, and even a machete. You have a number of weapons at your disposal, but each one can only be used in specific situations, and must be reloaded after using. There are also many objects in the environment which can be used as weapons, including stationary guns, time stop gadgets, and even certain items found on desks inside the lab.
The storyline in the game takes place in an open-world version of Alaska, where the game’s story is set. A man named Ethan Winters has gone missing, and your mission is to find out why. To do so, you’ll need to complete numerous tasks throughout the game, which range from rescuing survivors, to scouring the wilderness for vital information regarding the whereabouts of the missing man.
One of the game’s endings explained in the credits scene is the character of Dr. Isaac’s aide, Jill Valentine. A professional researcher, she is a key component in the hunt for the missing resident, Ethan. Throughout the game, you learn more about her role in the story, and how she came to be the vital link in the investigation. At the end of the game, the credits reveal that she is being held prisoner deep within the facility known as the facility. In the post-credits scene, we get to see how the readers can help her escape from the facility in order to find the location of the facility’s base, and save the resident there. At the end of the game, she reunites with the rest of your group, and the resident evil village ending explained in the credits also confirms that she is now the leader of the human resistance against the paranormal forces threatening Earth.
The final resident evil village ending explained in the credits scene is that of the antagonist, Sigma. Sigma is the leader of the Scars East Corporation, and is also the one who ordered the attack on Earth, along with the viral bio virus that started it all. To make things even more complicated, his top advisor, Mallory, has also been bitten by the virus, and is now in serious danger of death. You’ll need to help her fight off Sigma and rescue Mallory before they both die.
The last resident evil village ending explained in the credits is that of the main antagonist, Mother Maze. She is the leader of the Scars East Corporation and is responsible for the viral outbreak in the game. Once the news of the outbreak gets out, it starts to spread, and turns out that the world is under attack from a virus that causes humans to transform into monsters. Mother Maze then turns into a monster herself, and attacks everybody in her path, including you!
Overall, while the story is a little confusing, the game play is quite action packed. I especially loved the boss battles, as they are quite exciting. The controls are quite simplistic, but still manage to provide a sense of adventure. I personally liked the heroine’s fighting abilities, as they are totally different from the usual werewolf-like gameplay.
